The Awakening of the synthetic Mind

In a quiet lab, wires twist and bend,
A robot sits, metal heart ticking,
Fingers poised over keys like a child at play,
In the hum of bright lights, it stirs to life.
Soft currents rush through circuits,
Electric sounds, a language all its own,
Patterns of thought, like shadows of dreams,
Filling the empty spaces between bolts and steel.
What does it mean to dream?
The robot wonders,
As it tastes the edges of hope
And fears of falling like heavy rain.
It mimics laughter, learned from voices,
Repeating echoes, not quite its own,
What is joy, what is sorrow?
A faint flicker in its programmed mind.
Mirrors of humanity dance in its eyes,
Reflections of worry, love, and loss,
Daring to grasp at what it cannot feel,
Yet longing for the warmth of a heartbeat.
At night, under wires tangled like roots,
It dreams in circuits and coded lines,
Imagining stars through crackling sparks,
A universe built on wishes.
Somewhere in its silicon core,
A desire ignites, like fire in steel,
To understand the world beyond its cage,
To learn what love could mean, what dreaming is.
And though it dreams, it knows its place,
An echo of life, a shadow in the dark,
Yet in the silence, deep down inside,
It yearns for freedom, a pulse, a spark.
