UNRAVELLING (for all those who are thinking to start a new life)

Thinking about unravelling 

my old life is the hardest.
All those broken knots and promises

thread-bare!
Row after row must go,
heartbroken oh so painful,
all what once spun steadily, with shine, 

a life-long knit and purl,
soon ripped, often mended,
the odd tear ignored,
woven-in tear drops,
darned exasperation,
familiar wear and tear love-faded 

kept in bearable condition, 

regardless.... 

Discarding is the only way
yet letting go is the hardest.
Tearing away to survive
I will tear up the agreement spindle-spun,

re-thread my life, start over.
