In borders undefined,
I travel barren land,
Praying for a confidante
To take me by the hand.
Through passage unoutlined,
Through vague, enshrouding haze,
No hardship shall ever daunt
My quest for clearer days.
Yet futures intertwined
Into the distant past
Causes confusion to haunt
My days until the last.
While lost and sad combined,
I feel I've lost my friend.
In shade dim and darkness gaunt
I find I'm at my end.

The title, the language and the metre are all excellent. The only slight misstep is the first line of your last stanza or maybe I'm reading it incorrectly.
