Decimates populations
Why are human beings
Doing it?

Hearing about gruesome
Violence
Makes you wonder

How some people are capable
Of perpetuating
Such an act

Gouge someone's eyes
Rape & bayonet pregnant women

Burn people alive
Destroy their abode
kill their livestock
Cut people's throat

Oh! Human Beings
You are
Capable of achieving
Great things

Why degenerate
Become sadistic & uncaring?

How can you sleep at night?
After commiting
Such barbarous act?

Don't you have relatives?
Do you like
If they are butchered?
As you butcher others

Do you close your eyes
When you snatch
Somebody's life?

Violence begets violence
Does not solve poroblems

Let's remember

Perpetuated against women

Remember it all year round
Let's think deep and wide

To renounce and end violence
Not only domestic but world-wide
