My stories

A SNAKE STORY

Growing up is a challenge. As a youngster I blinked eyes of innocence. In my adult years, I am aware of the trappings of life. Oh Lord, let me view the world through the eyes of a child, once more.

IF MOTHER ONLY KNEW non-fiction

Now that my mother has passed on I find myself thinking of specific events she may not have been aware of. However, I'm sure she knows now. Mom, love ya. Miss ya. Son Dick.

ST. PETER'S HARBOUR, PEI poem

Boats in the harbour, smell of fish in your nostrils, evening sounds: all add to the excitement of a fishing village, as a crowd awaits.
Cherry

BESIDE DORCHESTER, NB poem

It is a terrible experience to visit your son in prison. To see him locked behind barbed wire, with guards monitoring every movement. We still love him.

AN AWAKENING poem

Our thoughts are at ease in early morning, when mist surrounds our view, and the spirit of peace grows within our hearts.
