I had a right good laugh reading this...of course as always.

I have to admit that phones are good for taking photos, but you can't beat looking through an album of memories, and like you say if the power goes out and we can't recharge,...

Posted on Thu, 30 Dec 2021

Of course the misletoe has sadly got a bad reputation, but your poetic words emanate their beauty too. I like the idea that if there ever was a secret of the berries, it's the mistle thrush who only knows, adds a touch of mystery that we as...

A poem that becomes all too

Posted on Wed, 29 Dec 2021

A poem that becomes all too familiar as I get older.

Significant lines for me:-

Yew trees (Stoical) standing in silence,

winter robins singing - lift solemn spirits.

Flowers lying in grave beds decaying,

So much put into this poem

Posted on Fri, 10 Dec 2021

So much put into this poem Turlough. That sixth stanza reminds me of old times when on holiday with girl friends, we would get dressed up ready to hit the night clubs, and of course see if we could pick up some guys...these things just had to be...

Your poem is a lovely example of...

Hi Rhiannon,

Hi Rhiannon,

love the rhythm and rhyme of this poem, and totally agree with Di in her comment. We can all learn so much from writing on subjects...it appealed to the child inside me.

Posted on Tue, 14 Sep 2021

This was such a touching story Paul. So relevant too. The hardest part is learning to carry on after loosing a loved one, having your world turned upside down is never easy to cope with. I myself have lost so many loved ones to cancer, it gets...
