I've had a few of those

Posted on Tue, 13 Feb 2024

I've had a few of those nights this winter. Hot water bottles, thermal tops, a cat behind my legs that doesn't want to move. You can't beat a hot water bottle, even the smell of them makes me feel warmer. As children we called them 'hottlepottles...

I try to keep the boiler on

Posted on Mon, 12 Feb 2024

I try to keep the boiler on side, Di, I flatter it with compliments. My mum has one of those ancient boilers which never breaks, although she's been told it will be condemned. The bathroom is where the brain is, I like that idea. I leave it there...

It's really interesting to

Posted on Mon, 12 Feb 2024

It's really interesting to hear these accounts from people who have inside experiences. It sounds like your son is settled in his new career and can call upon his broad experience of travelling and teaching.

I couldn't agree more. I can only imagine that they're one thought deep. My partner was watching some YouTube video featuring Bill Gates speaking about increased productivity for blue and white collar workers and it sounded so out of date even...

I admire the way you have

Posted on Tue, 06 Feb 2024

I admire the way you have woven the drama and terror of the dreamer with the immobile physical self, lifeless, perhaps perspiring in sleep. It's got me wondering where I'll go tonight in my dreams, the hidden room, the toilet with no door?

You have all that evidence

Posted on Thu, 01 Feb 2024

You have all that evidence and yet you know that if you go to the police, they'll do nothing. Stressful for the main character, taking on all this responsibility.

A beautiful tribute to this

A beautiful tribute to this season. I particularly enjoyed the final verse. We had a little hint of warmer days today.

There is lots of magic in

Posted on Sat, 20 Jan 2024

There is lots of magic in these lines, it's sort of sad too. I can't bear a dead bird. Those pies are a community, a dynasty. I see them in a different light now with fairies in their hearts. How beautiful.
