Some lush detail here. Felt slightly confused if it was by a river or a sci fi scene, the perspectives seem to shift.

In Nottingham there used to be a street busker, a guy. He played the xylophone. He reminded me of a spider monkey. This raised memories of him somehow. Some soft language here that conveys not only a moment but sounds of nostalgia,

I look forward to part two. Lots appealed to me, the short sentences (such a sucker for commas and brevity), very colloquial narrative voice, the deep poison arrows of pain you managed to balance in the trio of betrayal. Well done.

The house concept coupled with the confessional narrator makes for a seemingly light recollection yet each house carries more emotional weight through to that penultimate stanza. Interestingly, I think you can get two very different settings and...

Such satisfying half and full rhyme here. A stunning paradise and then the close so unsettling with its admission of his untruths. Unusual words give it more Tropicana. Apologies for the brand name, could have said the man from Del Monte....
