I was born in October, and I always knew my name was chosen as a political statement. My Dad was a member of the International Marxist Group back then. They were big in the seventies.

Always lovely to see Martha, Perfidia and Willow. I almost feel sorry for whoever has snaffled Willow. They really don't know what they've let themselves in for!
The staring matches are incredible, aren't they? Cat telepathy.
I'm going to try the passive tense come winter when they're pursuing me for an energy bill I can't afford. 'A bill was unpaid. A bank account was found wanting.' Might work...
Although I'm sad you are in the situation to be writing this, Jean, I always look forward to hearing more about your journey. Your wonderful and accessible way with words makes me feel as though I'm having a good chat with a friend. I hope you...
Hooray - another of these great pieces! Marvellous idea - although I'm not sure I'm totally grateful for the image of Richard Osman in Rocky Horror garb.
A beautifully crafted poem - especially for someone who's not writing today! - and it's our Facebook and Twitter Pick of the Day. Please do share/retweet if you enjoy it too.
As has already been mentioned, this is the best yet of an already very enjoyable series - and it's our Christmas Eve Pick of the Day! Please do share/retweet if you enjoy it too.

Wonderful piece, Jane! Although slightly disappointed - I was convinced the photo was a picture of an alien! Great fun to read.
