A story I started a while back that needs continuing, I think! Tom was in the kitchen. On tiptoes with hands resting on the sink he was just able to...
No, no! You sit there. I’ve got everything ready. Tea ok for you? Earl Grey with lemon? I could make coffee if you prefer? Tea is so English isn’t it...

A poem to make us think, and appreciate just how lucky most of us are.
There was a story some years ago about a man who took up residence on a traffic island, one of those with lots of trees and bushes. Locals helped him out...
You explain things so well with not a hint of self pity. You are certainly going through the mill but as you say the lesion on the brain was found early so hopefully it can be dealt with quickly. Your poor treatment at the hospital...
What a touching and moving account of your last day out with 'mum'. What strikes me is the pleasure she took in her new 'experiences' even though some she had experienced before, many times. Each day presenting something to enjoy.
A lovely, scenic and calming country walk (in spite of the mud). Last year we spent a week in Dorstone, not far from Peterchurch. A truely delightful part of the world and so well portrayed by your words.

So sorry to hear that you are ailing. My husband often quotes his granny who said "Don't grow old" but the alternative is much worse!
I had an MRI scan a while ago, didn't get music to listen to. I thought the sounds were like listening to...

Hi Rhiannon
Lovely poem and description.
I love begonias and mine seem to have done pretty well this year, especially a pale pink, peachyone. Ballroom dresses is such an apt choice of words.

I am enjoying your 'travelogue' Maxine. Love your comments about places you visit.
Went to Malta some years ago and stayed in Valleta, as you say a lovely island.
