This is so very far from anything I've experienced, but it made it so real to me. Particularly :
30,000 feet up – beyond blue –
we are untouchable, invincible:
nothing murderous from Mosul,
or killing from Kabul

This has the feel of walking, a bit of a struggle. How have you done that? And then the last line I can feel that you have stopped. Is it the long sound of the vowels in "towers" "view" "far" "wide" gives the sense of space? Treating words like...
