Why is it that no one seems to tackle the inspiration point that Tony sets every week? The subjects are varied and, IMO, interesting. So why is the element ignored?
So do I Maddan but I can't see it ataying there if no one can be bothered to react to it. As to not being short of inspiration.....the evidence suggests otherwise.
because you have to navigate through a couple of pages. Honestly. When the tip used to be on the front page, loads of people used to do it. Same goes for the Poem of the week and story of the week - they used to sit as a pair on the front page (they USED to be changed daily), and people used to be able to see them immediately. Now you have to navigate from this forum when you see a post saying that the story of the week/ poem of the week are up (but not what they are) onto the front page, and then click again to get to the part that says where they are and then again for that week. Then do the same in reverse for the poem/story and back again. Its no big effort, but people wont do it and the same goes for inspiration point. I think the POW and Sow used to generate more discussion when they were on the front page, but then again it was a different site back then.
For what it's worth, I've never paid much attention to inspiration point but SOW and POW have sometimes passed me by for EXACTLY the reasons Liana gives above.
I really am that lazy.
I've never attempted an Inspiration Point subject. Sheer laziness, plain and simple. I'd like to make an excuse for it, but I can't even be bothered to do that!
Agree about SOW/POW. I usually try to make an effort to read them, though - I like the fact that someone has trawled through the hundreds of submissions and pointed me towards the good ones. God, even that sounds lazy.
I hate writing. Much too hard.
mm. interesting points and thankyou for them. We will be undergoing some changes in the Autumn and I will put 'making SoW and PoW easier to find' in there.
I will also provide links from here when I post up that they are there.
Now will that make it easier for all you people who can't click twice?
