The vastly underrated honorary Poet Laureate of Kallibar, Boatyard Kindling, also produced some deeply moving verse depicting the bucolic side of Kallibar life. Indeed, on reading it, The Great Literary Umbung, his patron, said he had not been so moved since he inadvertantly tried a fant-pi and fermented fig cocktail provided by his least favourite wife.
Alone is the Hunter
On the muddy banks of the great PeeWee
the hunter keeps a watchful eye
for passing eland or impala,
whilst chomping on his iguana pie.
Lo, here comes a mighty herd,
majestic beasts drifting by,
the hunter remains soundly sleeping,
he has been bitten by a Tsetse Fly.
