The Missing Ring

I begged one of my friends to let me wear her pink flower finger ring. I wanted to show it off in school and tell everyone that I had gotten engaged suddenly. Obviously she did not know of my intentions, otherwise she would do the same. After I shamelessly begged at her feet for one whole evening, she finally gave it to me and made me swear that I would give it back the very next day.
I wore the ring proudly on my ring finger and carried my hand daintily, letting it float right beside me as I walked home.
Unfortunately the first person to cross my path was my elder brother. I showed him my newly acquired treasure. He agreed that it was a beautiful ring and asked me whether he could try it on. I was not very sure whether the color suited him, but on his insistence I took it off my finger and hesitantly gave it to him.
Instead of putting it on his finger he popped it into his mouth and started teasing me that he was godzilla and he would eat it up. I was furious and pounced on him to retrieve my ring. In the scuffle that followed he ended up swallowing it. I could just imagine it then, my beautiful ring, going down his slimy throat, past the rubber bands, through the wooden door with a brass knob and into the dark cellar which was his stomach.
I got really annoyed, but could not do anything about it. My brother was taller and stronger than me and swinging him upside down out of the window, as I had seen Arni do it, was out of the question. I really didn't know what to tell my friend.
The next morning, at breakfast,my brother graphically told me how the ring came out stuck in the middle of his turd. Ahmmmm too bad....I wasn't going to put my hands in there for nuts.
For the next couple of days I just made myself invisible. I knew that the matter of the ring could only be solved, if it was completely ignored and not spoken off. So even when she did ask me about her ring I completely denied ever taking it from her. I told her that there was no witness to prove otherwise.
The same friend told me that once she had taken revenge from her younger sister by spitting on her head. After that I just kept my head out of her reach by growing taller, faster.
