I Am the Spoon
Sometimes I want to
go to a fish market
and disappear among
the scales
to test the waters of
life
where misfortunes await
me
and circumstances
anoint me
to mock despair
surveying the advantages
of your desires
wanting more than
you are willing to send in my
direction.
I’m the spoon
and you’re the soup.

Excellent piece I'm
Excellent piece I'm surprised it hasn't had more of a reaction. This is something I would have been proud to write myself. Superb poetry. Val
