I Lost a Friend
When told
tiny lips quiver
only six
and a heartbeat quickens
little man of substance
sad but grandpa
has passed
away.
Can’t be
he can’t be gone,
I still have things to tell him.

Beautifully brief, Richard.
Beautifully brief, Richard. An excellent description of the bald unreality of loss.
