Forevermore

If these walls could talk they'd have nothing to say.
No stories to tell, no reason to stay.
If what I fear is true I have nothing to live for.
No infinite wisdom, no permanent white shore.
Just endless miles of Grey and Black.
A sunless sky, a boneless back.
No warless streets, No babies born.
No food to eat, no heart un-torn
A lonely soul that sits beside the former ocean.
As he died a spirit left this planet Earth.
Another death for another birth.
The clouds they form to shapes of bombs.
I thought I saw an angel, but now it's gone
Replaced by nothing more than the sense of fear.
The hope of tomorrow without a tear.
No more blood to spill, no more pain to feel
Nothing left to steal, no one left to kill.
There's nothing left, but dirt and dust.
No smiles and birthdays, no friend to trust.
Among this baron land remain the memories of how it used to be.
The memories of love, the memories of laughter, the memories of you and me.
It happens now the open door will be closed forevermore.
