You’re the heartwood of the mighty oak
The cliff against the sea,
You’re the hug tucked in my pocket
That goes everywhere with me,
You’re the shelter from the hurricane
The sun, after the storm,
When I freeze in isolation
You’re the cloak that keeps me warm,
You’re the glowing window
As I travel through the night,
You’re the holder of the lantern
The bringer of the light,
You’re the kindness of a stranger
When I’m feeling down,
You’re the diamond in the coal dust
That amazingly, I found.

Shoe, I see you are channelling your inner Lauren Bacall, and that's exactly what I meant

shoe in a silk gown, I'm all of a flutter. I presume you were referring, of course, to the wrinkles in said gown xx :--)
