Stronger

There is a thing stronger than love, when another person becomes a part of you. Intertwined between arteries and veins. When their skin is your home, the only place you are safe. It isn’t even profound but as simple as simple as a tree.
Things are not whole. My body cannot sleep when your dreams are far away. Something makes gravity heavier.
I stare for hours at nothing; I do not expect anything to ever happen. I am left with these feelings, this musty odour between my bones.
Fire is all that cleanses, turning to dust what was once was everything. I throw your life upon, photographs of days that were days not just time being drained. You letter’s your words, your writing with its curves, away and away.
Only smouldering wood remains. I build a home in your body as it blooms, greens upon greens, as you slowly begin to disappear, I follow you into the dark, being carried by angels and moths.
