Where has respect disappeared too?
I search everyday
Through youths with no manners
Who put teenagers to shame?
They talk of such nonsense
Vanity and blame
Hurt by their chores
Or boys with no brains.
Where to get drunk
Or who to victimise
Who is different?
Another loner to despise
Who’s proud to be unique?
Who’s proud to be ideal?
For ideal is of those
Who aim to please the crowds.
Follow as a sheep
Or make your own path
I choose to be strange
A loner and daft.

A gritty poem that sums up a modern truth.
