TO THE AMERICAN EAGLE

Oh great eagle, symbol of our land,
proud, majestic, soaring free
above the mountains grandeur height,
across the land of liberty,
of freedom, independence, might,
you inspire, cause me to think
as we live beneath your wings;
Oh great eagle, symbol of our land
trusting your creator for all things,
you see far reaching from your height
knowing what we cannot see
that you, oh eagle, might inspire
us too, to trust in God, simply believe.
