Time was,
yet Time forgot,
Timeless souls,
Forget-me-nots...
Hands carved together
from the blood of dreams,
bleeding hearts hang
by a death-spun seam...
We gaze at our past
our petals fall,
Forgotten thoughts
that soared & stalled...
Tears soften smiles
Time was , we were...
for a little while ,
of that I'm sure...
But Time went
& will again
healed by the heat of a whisper
on a frosted pain
Time "The Healer"
must away...
"Goodbye"
Time to wipe a tear-filled eye
& raise a glass
of hope anew...
To better days,
My love, Adieu.

This is such a beautiful poem, Firebird. And it really hits home with me as I'm having to say goodbye to someone very special at the moment. Lovely to see some writing from you again!

beautiful, I love the sense of pace which links back to the idea that time moves on.
