With a grotesque gargoyle grimace that serves him as a smile.
With friends who still reward him - always adding to his pile.
No surprise he won’t say sorry or that he has any real regrets.
For, to be fair, what has it cost him to get all the things he gets?
No one has killed his loved ones or destroyed his family home.
Or taken all his belongings so like a beggar he must roam.
Instead a million dollar prize for his contributions to world peace.
A nice role as an envoy to make the Arab-Israeli conflict cease.
So what then has he learned that could help the Middle East?
That if you ignore the starving then you’re welcome to the feast?
A policy for world peace… has he thought of any plan?
Yes, now we’ve sorted out Iraq - it’s time to bomb Iran!

So now we have the hypocrisy of Democracies that condemn other countries for being undemocratic while ignoring the voice of the majority in their own.
Who then are the real tyrants and what point the vote?

Interestingly, if any of this is related to Revelations, as I think it could be, it may be that there is some confusion regarding Daniel regarding the King of the North and the King of the South.

Three international experts assigned by the U.N. Human Rights Council to investigate the May 31 incident, in which nine Turkish activists were killed, said in a report released on Wednesday that the commando attack was unlawful.

Judges from Britain and Trinidad and a Malaysian human rights campaigner said in the report they plan to formally submit next week that Israeli forces used "totally unnecessary and incredible violence" in intercepting the flotilla.
They accused Israel of using "an unacceptable level of brutality" and of committing "grave violations of human rights law and international humanitarian law."

I sometimes wonder if ‘passion’ was the true power of the one ring; the one ring that ruled them all. For all the wise feared and spurned it yet - they knew it would give them power. I know that ‘power’ is a two edged sword. That you serve it as much as it serves you. Yet, isn’t passion the will to power? Like Batman, can your passion for justice make you into a criminal? Can your passion to destroy monsters make a monster of you? Should we strive to transform all our passion into compassion - learn to let it be? For power corrupts and all too soon... the ends justify the means!

I've just found out that The Dan David award is given to three catagories a year and another of the winning catagories in 2009 was Astrophysics... Andrew E. Lange is Goldberger Professor of Physics at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California. Prof. Lange is known for the discovery of the large-scale spatial geometry of the universe being spatially flat, of its total mass-energy density having a "critical" value and for major byproducts of this discovery. He confirmed the existence of a negative-pressure dark energy pervading the universe; provided evidence for an inflationary epoch at the beginning of the universe, and measured the Universe's mean density, matter density and other cosmological parameters. Oh yeah.

Got this from a friend whose stuff I occasionally post on here and unexpectedly it made me feel sorry for Tony Blair. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I watched “The Special Relationship” and although I was distracted at the time I was very impressed by the film. If you haven’t seen the film yet I recommend it as an interesting viewpoint which is obviously very ’Democrat’ and pro Clinton but yet seems to wonderfully capture the journey of Blair from being Kennedy (I am a European instead of Berliner) through Clinton and onto being a tool of Bush. The Blair charm which had captured America was the very thing that captured Blair for Bush. You can see Blair at the end of the film, his smile pulsing with pleasure at the public adoration from the American crowd. He is stood with Bush, who is totally immune to Blair’s charm, but using it to steer American opinion and Blair’s European allies toward the invasion of Iraq. If there was ever a better example of the ‘poisoned pygmy' then it escaped me... I mention this because I realised that few people ever understood the words of the poem… It is not the person who is the ‘poisoned pygmy’ - in fact the person is often the most deceived - it is another of those ‘influences’ that hides in the subconscious but speaks to the conscious mind. The ‘host’ is convinced that what they are doing is righteous and morally right because the ‘pygmy’ disguises the real motives beneath a kind of ‘moral crusade’ rationale which justifies the means by the ends and the ends by the illusion that the only way to fight evil is with evil. So whatever action you take becomes part of the necessary evil which will result in the greater good! The dangers of not looking deep enough inside yourself can never be stressed enough! Of all the internal influences the poisoned pygmy is probably the one that drives the corruption of powerful men more than any other and yet even those of us who simply wish to ‘help’ must be careful not to fall under the pygmy’s spell… for few of us can really comprehensively analyse our motives without a smidgeon of self-deception. It makes you wonder how different the world might be if Clinton had made the warning to Blair that he did in the film (which he may have) had Blair listened through ears which were not being censored by his need to succeed and by the pygmy’s powerful poison!

What Is NATO up to? While most of the member countries are suffering economic problems and many are struggling to implement austerity programs why has NATO agreed to spend a fortune on arms upgrades? It is hard to fathom why NATO should agree to become part of the American missile defence system and indeed who the missile defence system will be protecting NATO countries against... If, it is Iran or North Korea then it is very hard to see how they could threaten much of the North Atlantic and certainly not most of Europe. However, the most inexplicable part of the new agreement is the proposed large increase in conventional hardware like tanks and helicopters. Is this just to frighten the Taliban? There are those who think it might be to defend against Russia but if so why ask them to be part of the missile defence system? Surely, if NATO really wants to ensure the safety of its member countries then a UN worldwide missile defence system would make more sense in that the missiles could be shot down almost as soon as they were fired and it would be in everyone’s interest to make sure that who ever fired them could not do so again. Of course the problem with this system would be that no-one could use missiles and what NATO wants is a system to shoot down missiles OTHER THAN THEIR OWN! So what could be the real reason behind this agreement? I would argue that it is either to counter the growing power of China, or, much more likely, a preparation for the US to become the Masters of the World! The US is essentially bankrupt yet it is still spending money hand over fist on all areas related to military power. The US has, undeniably, by far the best weapons of war in the world and has a huge number of people being brain washed by the mass media (especially Fox ‘News’) into wondering why they should have to make do with less when they are part of the most powerful war machine on the planet. Meanwhile, Climate Change is causing crop reductions around the world and serious food riots are just around the corner. Despite the growing number of weather related catastrophes we never hear much about how the world leaders plan to handle the devastating effects of Climate Change as the Global Weather patterns continue to get more extreme and yet we do see how poorly the world deals with the relatively small (compared to what is coming) disasters in places like Haiti. So, in a world with far too many people and shrinking resources it may well be that the people who will effectively be paying for all this new weaponry will end up being the people who it is used against.
