when i grow up...

I want to wear a suit and have a backpack that is small and colourful and really doesn’t go with my suit. If I am really well off I would like to have some Asics trainers that also don’t go with my suit and don’t really look that comfy but probably are.

I want to have a giant beard and to wear some plaid.

Maybe before I do this I will have large mutton chops and maybe I will pretend to smoke a pipe (pretend because I don’t smoke now, so I don’t think I will then… but by this time I will be adept at acting so it should not be a problem).

I hope I can be a grown up covered in dignity and shout at kids while waving a cane. That would be nice.

I could even be polite and open doors for ladies and teach kids about manners and maybe some DIY and they might turn out to be nice people?

This is what I hope things will be like when I grow up.

I hope you get to be what you want when you grow up. I don't know why you would want to scare the kids? Have they been bothering you? But then you're not grown up yet, are you?

Is it not just something you are supposed to do? It certainly happened to me a few times. It would be a shame not to carry on such a tradition. But as you say, maybe I will see things differently when I grow up...
