"Perhaps continuing research into deja vu will explain not only how memory errors occur, but also how the brain is able to establish a continuous image of reality at all," Wolfradt..
.
I came here
without notion
that I had been here before.
.
It was uncanny,
this environment so close
to your heart. Perhaps it's a dream
.
where I floated
without limits, in a space surreal,
a creature of memory
.
in metempsychosis.
Inside the hippocampus, puzzled
perplexed, I replay senses
.
the parahippoccampus emits
without concrete experience, a paramnesia
to leave me dazed.
.
The reality matters.
I cannot explain;
perhaps you know deja vu -
the already seen.

this brought back memories
Permalink Submitted by skinner_jennifer on
this brought back memories of a holiday I once took,
when I was a child. I remember a park, I turned to
my mum and said, "mum I've been here before." She
turned to me and said, "No we've never been here
before." I was about ten at the time, but I knew that
I had definitely been in that park before.
Your poem kind of made me think of that day, isn't it
strange, how the mind works?
This poem definitely is different, kind of strange
too. Some very strange words used, like:- Inside the
hippocampus, puzzled, perplexed, I replay senses.
And also:- the parahippoccampus emits without concrete experience, a paramnesia to leave me dazed.
It almost sounds like something Andy Worhole might
have said, if you know what I mean.
Anyway overall a good read.
Jenny.

"...metempsychosis..." Ahh,
"...metempsychosis..."
Ahh, now I know what's wrong with me, plus
"...a paramnesia to leave me dazed..."
That happened when I fell and hit my head, can't remember where though.
