Picking up pebbles and throwing them into the sea
Watching the white foam roll them all back to me
The days of my childhood I throw for the sea
Watch the white surf washing them all back for me

Wouldn’t it be good if clocks could be turned back in years
Oh how I wish we could re-live the laughter and tears

The dreams of my childhood I throw for the sea
Watch the white waves drifting them all back for me
Picking up pebbles and throwing them into the sea
Watching the white surf carry them all back to me

Very much enjoyed, like the repetition, worked very well in my opinion. I think the simplicity makes this very beautiful as well as the images of 'the white surf' , sounds very tranquil and beautiful. Beeme xx

New Nolan Great poem and of child hood. They are bringing back re; surf poem "Hawii Five O" series or films on surfing. I love "John Denver's "You Fill Up My Senses" our day centre music groups we used to do,and I tried sing sometimes have music I bought,can't play or read shame not that clever minded. new Nolan Thankyou comment. Don't know that one Bob Dylan's Song shame sounds nice must get Ray to find the music and words. What tune does it remind you of. "Ave Maria". Then one She Wears My Ring. Very cold out So keeping new boots for another day. julie x
