There are days when silence
is borne and unbearable
Cold chews on one's bones
as the sun singes one's skin.
Solitude is a simple state
not sought but suffered
Contradiction and confusion
conspire to create chaos.
All that is left is words and
they are meaning less each day.

Must have been the day for
Must have been the day for it, I just submitted a poem with the same sort of feel and yours was right under it! Great use of words the entire way through. 'Cold chews on one's bones as the sun singes one's skin' I thought I was a reptile I've felt this so much! :P I hope writing brings you a sense of accomplishment like it does me :)

Hi MP, missing hearing from you more often. This one sent a shiver down my spine. The second stanza is particularly poignant. If all you have left is words then I hope you share them with us whenever possible.
