The non political head.
Quietly he rose slowly out of bed
What could he think about today?
The threat of war
Any post through the door
Stuttering down stairs mumbling to the cat
Ironed and clean shirt on
Along with his trademark hat
A cup of tea before leaving
To catch the usual train
Opening up his paper
Copied by fellow commuters
Some probably worked in finance
Others in computers
But he as I’m sure you are wondering
He, the quiet little lamb
With a non political head
Went to work in parliament
As an MP

Hi, found your poem on the random click, the last line made me chuckle. Liked it, and it's soooo possibly true?
