Even though I write some long poems, I appreciate the short ones most. I like them when they're short and clear.

sometimes I write out a big long piece and then leave it alone for a few month, until I'm not attached to the work as much. and then I tear out all the extra and see what's left. often that's the best way for me to figure out what I'm really trying to say. If its not a story, then it should just be a statement.
