Arcs of dawn spread across me –
they move in rivulets of light across,
across my thigh
across and akin to the fold where skin meets skin
and leg meet
and there where they pick up the hair,
that coils and curves around and about
and they follow to where my penis climbs
in arc of dawning, in arc of day,
and birds sing and espy
tumescence you might say – but no, just rising and rising to the new day,
where the monkeys are already at play
I glory in their uprising
and mine and think of where they might say-
he saw he pl;ayed and conk’red
