Dirt and Diamonds.

Isn't it funny that
the dirt we stand on
means so much less,
than the diamond
we've never seen?
The ground that sustains
us will never satisfy us.
We come from the dirt,
and we will destroy ourselves.
We are the dirt,
and thats not good enough.
Looking for something that shines.
Something hard and cold,
that will allways be further
than we are able to reach.
And so on and on it goes,
deeper and deeper
further and further
from peace.
