inspired by ABC tales, I've just written this.

THE BIG RIDE
Crushed into the ground
like a small child in the throng of the bus queue.
Everything was in slow motion
and the stop motion
of my stare
made them aware
of me.
Of what I wanted to be
that Roller-coaster I designed
doesn't exist
just in my mind
I started, opened mouthed,
then gaped.
At the height,
the size,
compared to my small weight
and size
And my insides, double-timed
kicked up the fairgrounds noise,
treble size.
And they all gaped
at the fear
of that roller-coaster ride.
And took their places in the queue,
my cheeks we're red
my blood ran blue,
I trembled as my dragon grew.
I put on my knightly, invisible hue
and stood there
gaping
with the rest of you.
I would ride this dragon
tame this beast,
try not to throw up
my lunchtime feast
of Big Mac, Fries,
and lesser slaughtered
beast.
The sun was setting
in the East
the shout came up
“away!away!
And we climbed and climbed that day!
Our knuckles white,
our muscles strained,
and we screamed
and screamed
at the sunset of the day.
Joined in battle,
with the dragon
who threw us
left,
then right,
into muscle spasm.
And at the end
when we had won,
survived and run.
I wouldn't say that we had reigned,
You wont catch me doing that again.
