“Slight” and “Furtive” is what they say
Golding describes him as “the dark boy”.
Is he foreshadowing in some way?
Smashing the littlun’s sandcastles each and every day
He throws stones near people almost as if they were prey
He’s aware of his wrongdoings but chooses to pretend its all okay
The temptation of the feast causes many boys including him to file away
He attends the first brutalization and attempts to turn Simon into a puree
His admiration for jack inclines as his sanity has already begun to fade away
After Jack tells him to sharpen a stick at both ends, he has no choice but to obey
The catapult intrigues him and he adores Jack due to such a display of power play
During the confrontation he pulls the lever and the second death depicts this is no longer child play
This terror of a boy loves inflicting pain through foul play
Now tell me, who do you think all of these descriptions portray?
