A VIEW FROM THE COFEE SHOP

I never thought this view could be so jaw dropping, unexpurgated and asinine at the same time
I stare down at my watch and its just gone past half past nine
In a coffee shop that's usually mundane except today there's something different in the air
I stare down into my mug just lifeless as if to say I dont care
not looking for a reply I slowly stare across the room
suddenly my eyes pop out as If acquiring zoom
then I'm drawn into you like a 3-d movie
and then I get the urge to say geeky words like groovy
you look out of this world and I don't want to be silly for its been a while
and although we don't know each other we still exchange a smile
I can tell you didn't live here as you sat there in your big furry jacket
which really made me leer
as this month was the hottest month there's ever been in years
your hair slowly moves behind your ears as if playing hide and seek with your face
i wanna come over and talk but that's not the case
i can tell your already entertained
as the lights from the disco ball dance on your table to create a technicolor phase
though i never want this moment to stop
Its always just a view from a coffee shop.
