The Angry Imp

You know when your told off by your mum and your dad and you start to get hot and incredibly mad.
Their words go all garbled and you dont want to hear , its then when the imp flys up to your ear.
He whispers 'stay angry', tells you to stomp and to scream ,he persueds you your parents are terribly mean.
So you keep going on till your face goes all red.
But the imp doesnt waver he stays close to your head.
You end up being punished , told to sit on the stairs.
With a huff and a puff like you really don't care.
You sit for some minutes according to age and start to feel calmer not so much in a rage.
You look all around for the imp he's no more.
Footsteps approach , your eye's fall to the floor.
It's time to say sorry for the tantrum you had.
And mum and dad don't seem nearly as mad.
You get up from sitting and put on a limp , and tell them your temper was not you but the imp.
'Stop making up stories , its not good to lie'.
Again you get mad and start with a cry.
'Water works wont wash and stop with that limp'.
He then reappears that angry old imp.
