Snow sheds flakes
not disturbing anyone

lights
glowing from windows
in the valley

from the top of a hill
village in view

pop tired finally at rest and
mom too.

In nearby rooms Fred
dreams of baseball
Dorothy and adopted cat

each lost in the vacuum
of quiet space.

Snow continues its destiny.

Another good one Richard. This is the first time for quite a while that I have visited your site (I usually catch your stuff from the 'recently added' link). Gosh, you have been busy! It will take me quite some time to get through your collection but I must say that I am looking forward to the trip.

Thank you Scratch. I always wanted more time to write and after my stroke eleven years ago, I did get it. About two months ago, I stopped submitting my material to any prospective publisher, since it took too long for me to wait three to nine months, even a year in many cases for a response. So now I write with gusto, enjoy the journey and can post right away to share my ideas and perspectives. Imagine, I used to spend 75% of my three hours per day seeking markets, and/or re-writing material to re-send. Now I spend 100% of my time writing, with a focus on poetry. Such a joy. Sounds like a best approach Richard. Enjoy the activity without stressing bout the peripheral distractions of marketing. The process and the product is the thing. And on this site I have come to realise that intelligent and well made critiques are readily come by from many of the contributors. Good luck.

Hello and thank for your encouraging comments, Julie. We had at the most six inches of snow and our winter has been very mild; simply amazing. Hope you don't get one too terrible like the one in the western USA. Cheers, from Richard and Esther
