She absorbs me with
her eyes and a
usual wave of cheerfulness,
almost makes me
fall to my knees in supplication
that slim lady of Chinese
descent, gray pony
tail, bonding
as brother and sister in
a march to aging
and I savour
a renewed world with joy,
hurrying along
in the footsteps of her
harmony.
