Pure Love.

It is recorded that the oldest known love poem is written on a tablet of clay.
Circa 8th century BC.
"...Goodly is your beauty,
You have captivated me, Let me stand trembling before you..."
The tablet was found in the ancient sands of Iraq and is now on display at the Istanbul Museum of the Ancient Orient in Turkey.
........................
Centuries later my daughter was born.
All numbers before a name.
2.49 pm, 3145, 36, 49, and number 485308 on a delicate wrist.
How true and relevant for the day she was born, that a few words chosen from an 8th century BC love poem will remain with me for ever.
"...Goodly is your beauty,
You have captivated me, Let me stand trembling before you..."
I trembled then and I tremble now when I read written on a tablet of...not clay, but a tablet of beautiful pink marble.
Another number and her name.
Julia.
Requiescat in pace
