humanity is on a precipice...
already there are more human beings alive now than have ever been before in history... System analysis tells us that this cannot last. Moreover, how we have evolved politically into the nation state in recent times; and how these nation states lack of cohesion in relating to global matters, combined with its need to fuel itself with acts of war to keep a wealthy elite within Europe and America in a position of power that also cannot hold... finally, the way this elite have fuelled their desire for power... power within the realm of technology, power within the realm of maintaining the poverty line and power in the burning of fossiliferous fuels all leads me to conclude that change is coming... WB Yeats said "...the centre does not hold things fall apart... " perhaps we will end this year with a rebirth... perhaps we will all die... one thing is certain... and that is in Humanities position to change, to face adversity and say that we can overcome... we can change we can make a difference... and we can... because we have done so in the past...
Humanity is on a precipice... but its a precipice that can give us all a reason to live. In the end... its our choice... And we have to accept that. From the governments who believe they call the shots to the individual, who reads this and shares it with the world... What matters is you... the individual, because of your individuality... Science states that this is of no importance, religion states that God calls all the shots... God states that you are all that matters... and if God thinks that about you... then where does that leave us..? I feel we are on a precipice waiting to get caught.
Yes things are going to change... its going to be painful, but its going to be amazing... and I think... no... I believe... its going to be ok.
