Then I saw the Angel of all nature;
saw her garbed in an endless gown of blue;
felt soft drifting wings and held her halo.
Now, I’m certain my faith in her is true.
Now I ascend the tree of all heaven;
my soul climbing on branches of its light;
perspective makes specks of ancient grieving;
the skies of death are filled with angels bright.
And ever higher Heavens lie ahead;
my faith just like a happy fate foretold;
my world has wings and brightly halo’d head;
a life of cotton paper turned to gold.
