Rejection

A Question of Sanity has just been rejected by Diana Banks.

'Thanks for sending but we'll pass.'

Short and to the point. I really liked the sound of her agency, too

Oh well.

Quite parsons. Guess who received a rejection that contained this gem, "Oh no.. Not another fucking Elf"? That'd be JRR Tolkien; Doh....!

Well Scratch, that makes me feel better. Still think I'm just having myself on again though.

Do you know scratch, I really don't like those t'Internet things like "lol". Sorry about the rejection though, obviously... another fucking Elf (lol). I take it it was the Adult version of LOTR.

At least you've got to the point of being rejected, it's more than most ever manage.

Well done Sooz006. Keep sending them in.

Sooz006, Just remember how many times J K Rowling was rejected. Victoria Wood the same. Maybe to be really successful you have to have a number of rejections to prove to yourself and others that you've got staying power. Keep at it! Moya

Sooz006, did you know that Walt Disney, Donald Trump, Francis Ford Coppola, Henry Ford, all had been bankrupt before they found success! Same kind of thing, they all just simply tried again!

Don't give up; try and try again. Richard

I wish I had the guts to send something in. It took me long enough to post anything on here. I've just put my first new story on here for months and I'm still nervous about doing that. Well done to you on many counts. Alex
Oh, this isn't getting published, this is just the first step of getting an agent. Thanks all. I've sent out again.

You better bloody send it out again - you are far far too talented to give up

Second rejection Hi there, I'm afraid we're not taking on new fiction. Do try other agencies in THE WRITERS' & ARTISTS' YEARBOOK. All best, Creative Authors

Don't let it get you down Sooz006. It'll happen. Just remember there is a huge difference in priorities when considering the publisher vs. the author. We want validation of our creative pursuits with the hopes of making a living, and they'll throw us some validation, just as long as we can make their living. Keep your head up.
Don't know if this will make you feel better or not... http://www.writersservices.com/mag/m_rejection.htm Either way, keep trying! ;) pe ps oid "the progenitor" "the art of tea" "that's an odd courgette"
