Calls of Wisdom and Folly

Wisdom calls, with much to give –
“food” enriching, “wine” to live,
understanding to discern:
ways of peace and safety learn.

Folly’s call is loud, with glitter,
sweet attractions that turn bitter,
thrills unlawful (others pay), –
ignorance can’t stay away.

Wisdom calls aloud in the street … whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm. Proverbs 1:20,33 and ch.9

Hmm; maybe if we all lived using love and wisdom our world would be a nicer place.

I'm sure! But we benefit too, so easy to drift into following the deceitfulness of glittering things that end in bitterness! Thank you for commenting, Rhiannon

I know, we don't mean to, although I'm aware am also as guilty as most.

Scripture is there to remind us of what wisdom is, and to encourage us to aim aright, and pray help, God's reminding, to draw us back when we drift, and grant forgiveness. But these days so many youngsters don't even realise the danger of the tempting things, I'm afraid. Rhiannon
