A rich oil baron was dying and the Angel of Death came to take him.

“So will heaven be a paradise with fruit trees and birds and flowers and sparkling, clear water?”, he asked.

“Oh no, not for you”, the Angel replied.

“Well, why not?”, asked the Oil man, who considered himself a good Christian.

“Because,Earth was a paradise”, replied the Angel, smiling, “And look what you did to that”.

Thanks for all your interesting questions and observations deejay and Linda. I picked an Oil Baron because of what an Oil Baron symbolizes, not just greed and money (like a banker) but also pollution and destruction of the environment. It's a parable. It's not supposed to be taken too literally.
