Biographical Note: Every night I had horrendous dreams such as these, and others. I had had for many years. It started at high school with night terrors. The dreams were vivid. They were graphic. I could always recall them clearly. It came a few times each night, when I'd been drinking it was especially bad. Often it woke my stepdad in the next room, he said it sounded like I was eating through the window glass. I was unable to find any relief. It suddenly stopped abruptly, more than a decade ago. It was the day that I had my last drink. It has never happened since. Not once.
