Schoolgirl day ends with hangman

CENSORED
At our all girls’ school
To end an excellent lesson
Hangman was his tool

He’d open the white board flaps
And then, using his dry marker,
He’d draw a line between the flaps
To mark the space for each letter

He’d use his finger to break the line
Rubbing the spots with pressure
The letters on the tip of his tongue
We would be the guessers

Starting with u, then a, e and i,
We’d end on a multiple o,
Then, hoping we wouldn’t die,
Through consonants we’d go

Usually we got it right
Getting it on the spot
Then he’d use a wet wipe
To clean up the once dry lot

We loved our games of hangman
We loved our CENSORED
What a great way to end the day
Before leaving through the gates
