Cherry Tree in the Garden

I've a cherry tree out in the garden
Was thinking of cutting it down
Cause now it's not producing
and looking all whithered and brown

But since I started this writing
on ABCtales, don't you know
Two cherries I have collected
Now I don't want that damned tree to go

Cause now cherries have a whole different meaning
Not pies and cakes and the like
But something that brings joy in their being
And fills me with pride and delight

So I'm out with the secateurs and prunning
this old dying tree that is there
And when next year I see it blooming
I'll know I have taken great care

To water and feed all it's branches
and the whole way down to the roots
And maybe I'll never stop dancing
cause those two lovely cherries
