1st Verse:
Rainbows are for everyone
and Mother Nature shines her sun
on every happy, smiling face
of every colour, creed and race.
2nd Verse:
Birds take food from every hand.
Our hatred’s they don’t understand.
They sing their songs outside the doors
of houses of both rich and poor.
Chorus:
And so I wonder why,
perhaps because she’s green,
though Earth gives us so much
we all treat her so mean.
The hearts without romance;
they all take her for granted
but just give her a chance
and they would be enchanted.
Verse 3:
A rose by any other name
would bloom for you and me the same.
Bright flowers bloom for all to see;
distribute beauty equally.
Verse 4:
And stars that shine above so bright,
will shine for everyone tonight.
Listen, and though they’re very far
you can hear them say, “Everyone’s a star”.
Chorus:
And so I wonder why,
perhaps because she’s green,
though Earth gives us so much
we all treat her so mean.
The hearts without romance;
they all take her for granted
but just give her a chance
and they would be enchanted.
