THE LAST SUPPER RESTAURANT

now, there's a little diner
that i always like to haunt
its down there by the cross streets
the last supper restaurant
the owner's name is jesus
and i've always found it odd
that folks pronounce it "hey zeus"
like you'd hail a grecian god
his meals are just like heaven
and at very little cost
but he won't serve caesar salad
if you ask for that, you're tossed
there's a good deal every friday
and he calls it "loaves and fish"
and he says it feeds one hundred
so that's quite a thrifty dish
and wine, he has a-plenty
he must have a cellar, deep
and he charges next to nothing
so i guess he gets it cheap
and the tables are quite lengthy
why, i bet they'd seat thirteen
the goblets always spotless
and the tablecloth so clean
you cannot go on sunday
jesus says he has to rest
but monday up to saturday
he'll grant you your request
forget that fabled alice
she can't give you what you want
but wise men still seek jesus
and his charming restaurant
