Infinite Sky

I can’t remember snow
And ice and frost
Beyond me now
This vacuous space is all I know
No crimson costumed spy
Will sail this infinite sky
One simple act of grace
Profitless
With feather touch
That sought to trip the heart apace
Now can’t remember why
Beneath this infinite sky
Your voice once chimed like tears
A tinsel tongue
On hymnal throat
Sugar coats those buried years
Unseen by chocolate eyes
Tranxfixed on infinite sky
My barrenness of dreams
Chiselling
At butter stone
An epitaph of nowhere schemes
Nailed fast and bloodless dry
Against that infinite sky
