YOU'RE MY UNIVERSE

we've all heard lots of stories
'bout those eerie UFOs
who've captured human specimens
examined, head to toes

and dear, i have been wondering
just what these guys would do
if they dropped by our neighborhood
and they examined you

would they fly away in terror
with a blown collective mind ?
would they feel a sense of awe
in all the wonders they would find ?

would they maybe try to change you ?
would they take you for their queen ?
would they maybe try and clone you ?
make a similar machine ?

would their instruments relate
that you are smarter than the norm ?
would they note that your emotions
come on like a thunderstorm ?

would they realize your beauty
is unique among our breed ?
would they make you their ship's captain
and decide to let you lead ?

well, i don't know where they come from
but i want to make it clear
that they cannot take you with them
